Bertil Malmström's Private Collection

History

Malmström was active in Uppsala South Africa Committee and Uppsala Africa Group in the 1960s and 1970s. He took part in the organizing of the so called Båstad riots in 1968 when a Davis Cup match between Sweden and Rhodesia was stopped. He also visited liberated areas in Guinea-Bissau with PAIGC in 1969. Today a retired folk high school teacher.

Contents

The collection contains correspondence from the Båstad action in 1968 and photographs and diaries from his visit to Guinea-Bissau in 1969.
