Anders Nyberg's Collections

History

Anders Nyberg was born 1955 in Malung, Sweden.

In 1978 Anders, as musical director of the song-group “Fjedur”, toured South Africa at the invitation of ELCSA, the South African Lutheran Church. Soon after he returned to work for a year in the township of Gugulethu, Cape Town with choral music. During this year he also travelled extensively, recording choral, traditional, sacred and political music. His collections and releases of musical scores and recordings of South African songs of praise and protest, based on these field-recordings, have since spread globally and been translated into a number of languages.

Anders is now in Dala-Floda, Sweden and working freelance with different cultural projects. Read more about Anders Nyberg and listen to samples of his songs and lyrics.
