WEBINAR

Time: Wednesday 12 June 2024, 14.00 – 15.30 (CEST).

Place: Zoom session

Cities and subnational governments are often excluded from regional integration processes in Africa. Yet, these actors often have first-hand experience with the socio-economic issues that regional integration seeks to address. Their exclusion is problematic and detracts from the vision of a broad-based regional integration process.

Join us for an interactive roundtable to discuss the findings of the project "Cities as a site for deepening continental integration in Africa". In this project, Babatunde Fagbayibo, African scholar, explores how a cooperation agreement between Lagos and Johannesburg, can stimulate the process of ensuring that cities have an active role in the articulation and implementation of the goals of continental integration in Africa.
