In Ethiopia, the agricultural sector is crucial. It supports employment, income and food security for the majority of the people. However, with pressures from climate change and a rapidly growing population, farming needs not only perform better, but also change structurally.

This was raised when researchers and policymakers discussed agricultural transformation at a seminar in Addis Ababa, hosted by the Nordic embassies in Ethiopia and the Nordic Africa Institute.
