The Nordic Africa Institute together with the Peace and Conflict Department at Uppsala University invites you to this years Claude Ake Memorial Lecture!

The lecture is free and open to all.

The lecture is held by Rachid Tlemçani, professor in international politics at University of Algiers, and 2017 Claude Ake Visiting Chair, in collaboration between the Nordic Africa Institute and Uppsala University Department of Peace and Conflict Research.

Post-colonial politics have deeply disenchanted Africans and others, as social progress and well-being have not been delivered as professed. The lecture will thoroughly examine the root causes of the prevailing situation to ultimately contribute to a new thinking in an era of rapid global transformation.
