Services
A selection of services we want to bring out to you specifically.
Remote access to subscription databases
Students and researchers at Nordic educational institutions can have remote access ("off campus access") to a few of our Africa specific, licensed resources normally available only here at NAI.
Library visitor's program
NAI regularly receives students and researchers who wish to use the library resources extensively but who are not part of the institute's scholarships program. For these visitors we offer a Library visitors’ program up to a month.
Ask the NAI library
We can help you or your patrons with Africa-specific questions, at least pointing you in the right direction.
Interlibrary loans (ILL) Nordic countries
Our mandate as a library is to provide library services for the Nordic countries. Most of our material can be ordered. We're included in Bibliotek.dk External link, opens in new window. (DK) and Libris External link, opens in new window. (SE) and preferably see you ordering through them. If this is not possible for you, e-mail is fine too. Interlibrary loans are free of charge for the Nordic countries. Article copies are charged according to our price list.
International Interlibrary loans outside of the Nordic countries
For International Interlibrary loans, the services are restricted to primarily unique titles not held elsewhere, or material published in the Nordic countries but not widely disseminated. Newer titles that are available for purchase, are not lent outside of the Nordic countries. We prefer IFLA vouchers as payment (price list).
