Olivia has worked in international development cooperation across countries in East Africa (Ethiopia, Tanzania,Uganda, Zambia) and Southeast Asia (Cambodia). Most recent to NAI, Olivia worked as a programme officer for the Netherlands Development Organisation (SNV), where she managed and implemented initiatives on gender equality, poverty reduction, and inclusive businesses in the Agri, Energy, and WaSH sectors. Additionally, she has conducted her own field research in Sudan and Tanzania as part of her education and through Minor Field Studies. During her studies she has interned with the Development Cooperation Unit at the Embassy of Sweden in Dar es Salaam, where she contributed to the monitoring and evaluation of various projects.
Olivia holds an MSc in Political Science from Leiden University (The Netherlands) and a BSc in Development Studies from Lund University (Sweden). She is passionate about advancing social justice and human rights in Africa and beyond.
