Grasian Mkodzongi

Grasian Mkodzongi (PhD) is a Senior Researcher at the Nordic Africa Institute. His ongoing research focuses on climate change, green minerals, energy transition and reindustrialization in Africa.
Grasian is an Executive Director of Tropical Africa-Land and Natural Resources Research Institute (Zimbabwe). He is a Contributing Editor of the Review of African Political Economy journal (UK). Until 2015, he was a Lecturer in Anthropology at the University of Western Cape. From 2022 to 2023, he was the Lead Consultant (Dala Institute Indonesia), evaluating the Ford Foundation’s Natural Resources and Climate Change (NRCC) International Program in southern Africa. He has published extensively on agrarian reform, extractives and rural livelihoods in Zimbabwe and South Africa.
