From the margins to the centre
A new form of urbanism allows African women to manage poverty and create jobs. Women rely on social ties, reciprocity, sharing and collaboration, and women’s informal-solidarity entrepreneurialism. Thus, they are moving away from the margins of business activity and are catapulted into the centre.
